வடக்கு மாகாண பண்பாட்டலுவல்கள் அலகு மற்றும் கலாசார அலுவல்கள் திணைக்களம் ஆகியவற்றின் அனுசரணையுடன், வலிகாமம் வடக்கு பிரதேச செயலகமும் பிரதேச கலாசார பேரவையும் இணைந்து ஏற்பாடு செய்த “பண்பாட்டுப் பெருவிழா – 2026”இன்றைய தினம் (04.09.2026) வெள்ளிக்கிழமை பிற்பகல் தெல்லிப்பழை இராஜேஸ்வரி மண்டபத்தில் சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றது. வலிகாமம் வடக்கு பிரதேச கலாசார பேரவைத் தலைவரும் பிரதேச செயலாளருமான திருவாட்டி சிவகெங்கா சுதீஸ்னர் அவர்களின் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்ற இந் நிகழ்வில், பிரதம விருந்தினராக யாழ்ப்பாண மாவட்ட அரசாங்க அதிபரும் மாவட்ட செயலாளருமான உயர் திரு. மருதலிங்கம் பிரதீபன் அவர்கள் கலந்து சிறப்பித்தார். சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக வடக்கு மாகாண பண்பாட்டலுவல்கள் அலகின் பிரதிப்பணிப்பாளர் திருவாட்டி தர்சினி நிதர்சன் அவர்களும், கௌரவ விருந்தினராக “கலைக்குரிசில்” திருவாட்டி பாகீரதி கணேசதுரை (மாவை பாரதி) அவர்களும் கலந்து சிறப்பித்தனர். இந் நிகழ்வில் கௌரவ விருந்தினராக கவிஞரும் மூத்த நாடகவியலாளருமான திருவாட்டி பாகீரதி கணேசதுரை (மாவை பாரதி) அவர்கள் பங்கேற்றார். இவ்வாண்டின் பண்பாட்டுப் பெருவிழா “மாவைப் பண்டிதர்” அமரர் க. சச்சிதானந்தன் அரங்கு (மாவிட்டபுரம்) எனும் அரங்கில் நடைபெற்றது. இந் நிகழ்வில் அரசாங்க அதிபர் அவர்கள், தனது உரையில், ஒவ்வொரு கிராமமும் தனித்துவமான கலை மரபுகளையும் பண்பாட்டு அடையாளங்களையும் கொண்டுள்ளதுடன், அவற்றைப் பாதுகாத்து அடுத்த தலைமுறைக்கு எடுத்துச் செல்ல வேண்டிய பொறுப்பு அனைவருக்கும் உண்டு எனத் தெரிவித்தார். மேலும், தொழில்நுட்ப வளர்ச்சியின் தாக்கத்தால் பாரம்பரிய கலை வடிவங்கள் படிப்படியாக சுருக்கப்பட்டு இலத்திரனியல் வடிவங்களுக்கு மாற்றமடைந்து வருகின்ற நிலையில், அவற்றின் அசல் தன்மையையும் பாரம்பரிய அடையாளத்தையும் பாதுகாப்பதற்கான முயற்சிகள் அவசியமானவை என்றும் வலியுறுத்தினார்.see more....Events

அமைவிடம்
யாழ்ப்பாண மாவட்டம், இலங்கையின் வட மாகாணத்தின் வடமுனையாகும். இது கொழும்பிலிருந்து சுமார் 410 கி.மீ. தொலைவில் அமைந்துள்ளது. இது ஒரு தீபகற்பத்தையும், மக்கள் வசிக்கும் ஏழு தீவுகளையும் உள்ளடக்கியது. மாவட்டத்தின் வடக்கு, கிழக்கு மற்றும் மேற்கு எல்லைகள் இந்தியப் பெருங்கடலாகவும், தெற்கில் யாழ்ப்பாணக் காயல் மற்றும் கிளிநொச்சி மாவட்டமாகவும் உள்ளன.
யாழ்ப்பாண மாவட்டம் நான்கு உட்பிரிவுகளாகப் பிரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அவை: தீவுகள், வாலிகாமம், தென்மராட்சி மற்றும் வடமராட்சி. யாழ்ப்பாண மாவட்டம் வறண்ட வலயத்தின் கீழ் வருகிறது.
மண் வளம்
யாழ்ப்பாணக் குடாநாட்டின் மண் மற்றும் நீர் வளம் ஆகிய இரண்டும், அவ்நிலத்தின் சுண்ணாம்புக்கல் புவியியலுடன் தொடர்புடையவை. கடல் அலைகள் மற்றும் காற்றின் தாக்கத்தால் சுண்ணாம்புக்கற்களின் மீது படிந்துள்ள கடல் படிவுகள் மற்றும் வண்டல்களின் மேல் மண் உருவாகிறது.
துளைகள் கொண்ட பாறையான சுண்ணாம்புக்கல், குடாநாட்டின் நிலத்தடி நீருக்கான முக்கிய ஆதாரமாக விளங்குகிறது.

நீர் வளம்
யாழ்ப்பாணக் குடாநாட்டில், சுண்ணாம்புக் கல்லின் அடிநில அடுக்கில் நிலத்தடி நீர் ஆதாரம் உள்ளது. சுண்ணாம்புக் கல்லே பிரதான நீர்ப்படுகையாகும்.
இந்த நீர்ப்படுகையில், ஆவியாதல் இழப்புகள் இன்றி நிலத்தடி நீரைச் சேமிக்கும் திறன் கொண்ட பல தனித்த குகைகளும் சிறுகுகைகளும் உள்ளன.
மழைநீர் கசிவினால் உருவாகும் நன்னீர் அடுக்கு
அடர்த்தி வேறுபாட்டின் அடிப்படையிலான விகிதம்
கடல் மட்டத்திற்கு மேலே உள்ள ஒவ்வொரு மீட்டர் நன்னீருக்கும், கடல் நீருடன் கலக்காத நிலையில் சுமார் 40 மீட்டர் ஆழத்திற்கு நன்னீர் அடுக்கு தேவைப்படுகிறது. நன்னீருக்கும் கடல்நீருக்கும் இடையில் கூர்மையான இடைமுகம் இல்லை.
நிர்வாகம்
மாவட்டச் செயலாளர் / அரசாங்க முகவர் என்பவர் மாவட்டம் முழுவதற்குமான நிர்வாக அதிகாரி ஆவார். அரசாங்க நிர்வாகம் மத்திய, மாகாண, மாவட்ட, சரக மற்றும் கிராம மட்டங்களில் செயல்படுகிறது.
மேலும், மாவட்டத்தில் 14 சுகாதார அமைச்சு சரகங்களும் 5 கல்வி வலயங்களும் செயல்படுகின்றன.

யாழ்ப்பாண மாவட்டத்தில் வேளாண்மைத் துறை ஒரு முன்னணித் துறையாகும். மேலும், மக்களில் பெரும் பகுதியினர் வீட்டுத் தோட்டக்கலையிலும் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளனர்.
யாழ்ப்பாண மாவட்ட மக்கள் பாரம்பரியமாக ஒரு விவசாய சமூகத்தினர். அவர்களின் கலாச்சாரம் பெரும்பாலும் விவசாயத்தை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டது. பாரம்பரிய விவசாயிகள் மண், காலநிலை மற்றும் விவசாயத் தொழில்நுட்பம் குறித்து தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக அனுபவம் பெற்றுள்ளனர்.
யாழ்ப்பாண மாவட்டம் பிரதானமாக ஒரு விவசாயப் பகுதியாகும். சிவப்பு வெங்காயம், மிளகாய், உருளைக்கிழங்கு, புகையிலை, காய்கறிகள், வாழை மற்றும் திராட்சை போன்ற விளைபொருட்களுக்கு பெரும் ஆற்றலைக் கொண்டுள்ளது.

மகா பருவத்தில் மானாவாரி முறையில் அரிசி உற்பத்தி செய்யப்படுகிறது. காய்கறிகள் ஏறக்குறைய முழு பருவத்திலும் மானாவாரி மற்றும் பாசன முறைகளில் உற்பத்தி செய்யப்படுகின்றன.
மீன்வளம்
யாழ்ப்பாண மாவட்டம் கடல் மற்றும் காயலால் சூழப்பட்டுள்ளது. மீன்வளத் துறை யாழ்ப்பாண மாவட்டத்தில் ஒரு முக்கியத் துறையாகும். இது ஒரு பெரும் பொருளாதார நடவடிக்கையாகவும் மக்களின் முக்கிய வாழ்வாதாரமாகவும் விளங்குகிறது.
